Anthony Joshua VS Charles Martin

Anthony Joshua's ascent to World Champion is the fifth-quickest by any heavyweight.

Anthony Joshua stopped Charles Martin in two rounds at London's O2 Arena to claim the IBF heavyweight title in only his 16th professional fight.

The Briton floored his American opponent with a peach of a right-hand counter and after Martin was knocked down again, the referee called a halt.
The 26-year-old is his country's sixth bona fide heavyweight world champion.
Joshua is also just the third man to win a pro heavyweight world title while still a reigning Olympic champion.
And he is the first Briton to win both the super-heavyweight Olympic gold and a version of the world heavyweight title - London-born Lennox Lewis was fighting for Canada when he won the 1988 Olympic super-heavyweight title in Seoul.
Joshua's victory now brings a super-fight against fellow Briton and WBA and WBO champion Tyson Fury a step closer.
Champion Martin, who was making the first defence of the title he won in January, entered the ring wearing a tall crown, a fur-trimmed, velvet cape and a smile as broad as his shoulders. But the smile soon disappeared.
Some thought previously unbeaten Martin, 29, would trouble Joshua with his southpaw stance - he was the first left-hander Joshua had faced in the paid ranks - but he barely threw a punch in anger.
Anthony Joshua needed less than five minutes to beat Charles Martin
It took Joshua half of the first round to find his range but when he did, he landed with three or four big right hands that appeared to rattle the champion.
The challenger staggered Martin with a sweet left hook early in the second, before a beautifully timed right put him on the seat of his pants.
Martin rose at eight but after another massive right put him down again, referee Jean-Pierre van Imschoot counted him out on his feet, one minute and 32 seconds into the round.
Remarkably, Joshua now has 16 knockouts from 16 pro fights and has only boxed 34 rounds in total. His only fight to go past three rounds was a seventh-round stoppage of Dillian Whyte last time out.

Joshua joins Ali in history books

Joshua joins Muhammad Ali and Leon Spinks as the only men to be professional heavyweight world champions while still reigning Olympic champions.
Ali, then known as Cassius Clay, won light-heavyweight gold in 1960 before dethroning Sonny Liston in 1964; Spinks won light-heavyweight gold in 1976 before dethroning Ali in 1978, in only his eighth paid fight.
While nobody has won a world heavyweight title faster than Spinks, Joshua surpasses Ali (20 fights), Lennox Lewis (22) and Mike Tyson (28).
Frank Bruno, Lewis, David Haye and Bob Fitzsimmons complete the list of Britain's heavyweight world champions. Herbie Hide and Henry Akinwande were WBO title-holders when the belt was not taken seriously by many of the elite fighters in the division.

Joshua v Fury next?

The IBF belt was stripped from Fury when the Manchester boxer opted for a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko rather than a mandatory defence.
Should Fury beat Klitschko in their rematch on 9 July, a blockbuster meeting between the two Britons would be inevitable.
Also in the mix is former heavyweight world champion Haye, who returned to the ring with a first-round knockout of Mark de Mori in January and fights again next month.

INDIANS WHO AREN’T AFRAID TO #PLAYBOLD

‘Freedom lies in being bold’— Robert Frost may have penned this line eons ago, but it stands true even today. And it’s clearly reverberating amongst the young Indians who are breaking the conventional norms, making bold moves and are defining the future of our country.
Whether it’s academics or sports, fine arts or entrepreneurship, or any other field, the young leaders of tomorrow are throwing caution to the wind, and inspiring the rest of the nation to join them and play bold in all walks of life.
Here are a few young achievers who have courageously overcome all odds to chase their dreams…

Bhakti Sharma:-

She is only 26 years old, but this li’l mermaid has conquered all five oceans and has become the first Asian woman and the youngest in the world to set a record in open swimming in Antarctic waters. Bhakti, who started swimming when she was 2 years old, has set a world record by swimming 1.4 miles in 52 minutes in one-degree temperature in the Antarctic Ocean. She is only the third person in the world to have swum in the Arctic Ocean, and her feat of swimming in the freezing waters of Antarctic Ocean has even earned her recognition from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Achieving the impossible of course wasn’t a cakewalk for Bhakti, who practiced swimming in freezing waters in an inflatable pool filled with 10 tonnes of ice, but nothing is impossible to a courageous heart, right?

Divyanshu Ganatra:-

To follow your dreams all you need to do is play bold, and none can tell us this better than Divyanshu Ganatra. He is an IT expert, a clinical psychologist, an adventure junkie, a self-made entrepreneur, winner of a National Award from the Vice-President of India and he is BLIND. Divyanshu who lost his eyesight at the age of 19 to glaucoma has broken all stereotypes and myths with his passion and courageous moves. Divyanshu has never let his blindness come between his dreams and passion. The Pune-based shrink has founded a company called the Yellow Brick Road, which provides corporate training and counseling. He is also a diehard adventure junkie who has scaled the Milam Glacier and the Kumaon range of the Himalayas among other peaks. He is also the first visually challenged person in India to undertake solo paragliding flight. Take a bow Monsieur.

Aditi Mittal:-

In a country, which is so sensitive about almost everything, one needs to be really bold to come up on a stage and speak about sanitary napkins and vaginal tightening creams. Aditi Mittal not only does that but also has the audiences falling off their chairs with laughter with her wisecracks. This gutsy gal is one of the first women to do stand-up comedy in India, and undoubtedly is an inspiration to thousands of women. Aditi’s bold and funny acts have put her on the list of India’s top 10 stand-up comedians by The Times of India. She is featured in CNNIBN.com as top 30 witty, intelligent, and incredibly funny Indian women to follow on Twitter. Aditi has also been featured in the American documentary Stand-Up Planet, along with American and South African comics, which is a stand-up comic’s quest to find some of the best humor coming from corners of the developing world.

Arunima Sinha:-

To climb up the earth's highest mountain – Mount Everest, is indeed a brave thing to do. But achieving this feat when you are an amputee is called playing bold. In 2011, 24-year-old Arunima Sinha was thrown off a moving train by thugs for refusing to hand over her gold chain. She lost her left leg when a train went over it but instead of preparing herself to live a life of a handicap, this brave girl made a decision to climb Mount Everest. And in less than 2 years post her accident, she conquered the highest peak and become the world’s first female amputee to climb Mount Everest. She has been awarded Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India for her achievement. The brave heart, who has also climbed four other highest peaks - Kilimanjaro in Africa, Elbrus in Europe, Kosizko in Australia, and Aconcagua in Argentina, dreams of opening a free sports academy for differently abled persons. She proves to the world, grit is all one needs to beat the odds.

Ankit Fadia:-

Computers have obsessed this award-winning tech junkie since the age of 11.  When he was just 13 years old, he started his website called Hacking Truths. At the age of 15, he published a book on ethical hacking - An Unofficial Guide to Ethical Hacking, which made him the youngest author to be published by Macmillan India and soon enough his hobby became a profession which not many were willing to explore. He is India’s first ethical hacker and has hosted a popular show on MTV called ‘What the Hack!’, where he gave tips, tricks and tweaks to get more out of technology and the Internet. Widely recognized as a computer security expert, he has delivered more than 1000 talks in 25 countries, received several awards, and trained more than 20,000 people in India and China.

Anuj Shah and Prashant Issar:-

With an agenda to generate wealth for the society in addition to individual wealth, the founders of ‘Mirchi & Mime’— Anuj Shah and Prashant Issar made the bold move of setting India’s first restaurant with a fully deaf- mute staff. Recruiting and training the staff was a long drawn process but the two were determined with their mission. The company recruited 27 staff members from various hearing and speech impaired colleges and job fairs. They even chatted with the selected staff’s families, since they were skeptical as to how their children would be treated in the outside world. And after an intensive eight-week training program, Anuj and Prashant finally succeed in setting up a restaurant, not to generate sympathy for the staff but to suggest that they are far more hospitable, focused, enthusiastic, intuitive and better servers than normal people.

Ishita Khanna:-

She is dynamic, passionate, and responsible for transforming the lives over 12,000 villagers in the remote Spiti valley. A Tata Institute of Social Sciences graduate, Ishita Khanna left a comfortable life and made a bold move to settle down in the Spiti Valley, to help the local community there lead better lives. Amidst severe climatic conditions and inaccessibility to popular culture, this young daring lady has successfully managed to remain focused on her commitment. She founded Spiti Ecosphere, a social enterprise with the objective of responding to the need for developing alternate and sustainable livelihood avenues that responsibly use available local resources (natural & cultural) and protect the environment. Thanks to the efforts of this young social entrepreneur, Spiti today has become one hot tourist destinations and the locals are leading a far better life than they used to.

Well, in a country, which is laden with talent and brave youngsters, this list can go on-and-on. So please don’t hesitate to add more names of other inspiring super achievers in the comments below.
And yeah, go India, get inspired and don’t forget to #playbold

April Fool's Day Pranks

Life is too short and you're growing older by the day...Okay, um, you can ignore the philosophical nonsense.
But seriously, this is the one day in an entire year when you can seek revenge on your friends for all kinds of silly things under the pretext of having 'innocent fun'!
Remember that time when your friend chose to go out with their boyfriend/girlfriend the day you guys were supposed to hangout? Didn't do the dishes when they were supposed to do?
Made a complete fool of you last April Fools' Day?
This is your chance to get back at them!
You have two days left to plan an epic prank, and we thought of giving you a hand with it. Here are 7 ways you can make a fool of your friends this April Fools' Day:

1. Pull a Joey

Get a different number and call your friend pretending to be an annoying stalker. Much like Joey did with Chandler. But try and do it without freaking your friend to the extent of dialing the police.

2. Pull an Ellen

If you keep an eye out for Ellen Degeneres' show, you will get a lot of prank ideas. One of her all-
time favourites is having masked/dressed up people jump out of a box at her guests.
Works wonders every time!

4. Go for the good-old spider prank

It's an old one, but it's a classic. Throw a plastic spider, snake, scorpion, etc. on your friend's shoulder or in the ice cube tray and watch the fun.

5. Make a desktop doofus

If you want to take the prank then next level, take a screen shot of your friend's desktop screen, put it up as their wallpaper, and then hide all the actual desktop icons.
While your friend thinks their computer is broken, you can have a good laugh.

6. Use the Holi power

You can always utilise those leftover Holi colours to spook your friend. Put some green or red colour in the soap dispenser just before your friend has to use it.
If you're really evil (and as long as the colour isn't harmful), you can also put it in their face wash tube.

7. Do nothing!

This is the best kind of prank out there. All you have to do is leave small notes of warning for your friend all day long, building anticipation and freaking them out.
And then, ultimately, do nothing! That will set their teeth on edge.'

Well, you can also check out The History Of April Fool's Day or our next section on Pranks here.

April Fool's Day - The Beginning Of The Tradition

We look forward to it every year. April Fools' Day — the one day where millions of people play April Fool pranks on their friends and loved ones. After all, who hasn't passed along a Rickroll video on April 1?
April Fools' Day (sometimes called All Fools' Day) is celebrated every year on 1 April by playing practical jokes and spreading hoaxes. The jokes and their victims are called April fools. People playing April Fool jokes expose their prank by shouting April Fool. Some newspapers, magazines, and other published media report fake stories, which are usually explained the next day or below the news section in small letters. Although popular since the 19th century, the day is not a public holiday in any country.

But how did April Fools' Day start and why is April Fools' Day on April 1? History tells us that while its true origin remains somewhat of a mystery, historians theorize that the tradition dates back to 1582 when France switched from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar as decreed by the Council of Trent.
Some trace the prank day's origins to 1582 after Pope Gregory XIII ordered the adoption of  Gregorian calendar which moved New Year's Day from the end of March to Jan. 1.
Those who were slow to adhere to the new calendar became the subject of ridicule and many jokes. They would often become referred to as "poisson d'avril"( April fish), someone who could be caught and was gullible.
Throughout history there have been some great April Fools' Day pranks:
On April 1, 1878, the New York Graphic ran an announcement that claimed Jersey's own Thomas Edison invented a machine that turned soil to cereal and water into wine. Newspapers nationwide ran with the story.
Sports Illustrated tricked readers in 1985 when they published an April Fools' article about Sidd Finch, a rookie pitcher who could throw a 168 mph fastball.
In 1987, Los Angeles disc jockey Steve Morris announced on KRTH-FM that California highways in Los Angeles and Orange counties would be shut down April 8-May 1 for major roadway repairs. Pandemonium ensued.
In 1996, Taco Bell freaked out the nation when they claimed that they purchased the Liberty Bell and was going to rename it. In 1998, Burger King announced their Left-Handed Whopper.
Google, who has a history of pulling April Fools' jokes, claimed in 2011, that their Gmail Motion would be able to compose a message with simple hand gestures. People completely believed it.
And just two days ago, actor Jon Lovitz and model Jessica Lowndes pulled an elaborate prank when they told everyone that they were engaged. Many media outlets had to run corrections because it was all part of an elaborate April Fools' Day prank.
We currently are approaching the April Fool's day and so we would like to present our very own collection of prank's for this special day. You can view these pranks here.
